Welcome!
I am Maria De Brito Sobral.
I am an Integrative Counsellor (PCeT/PST) and hope we have the chance of working together. I believe you can explore and review your own patterns of thinking having me as an ally to your therapeutic process.
I mainly work with a relational model approach where your would work on your reason or focus for therapy having my support to work on difficult or complex moments of your life. Past and present will be alive in our conversations and unconscious motivations might surface during our work, being those equally welcome.
Your inner thoughts, feelings and behaviours discussed in our sessions would be met with dignity, empathy and confidentiality in our agreed space. Being a therapist from a diverse background, I can support you empathetically with possible challenges you may face related to displacements, belonging, identity, differences or cultural adaptations within your relationships.
I invite you to explore your self-discovery through our therapeutic sessions together, offered both in-person (Brighton area) or online.

More About My Integrative Counselling and Wellness Services
Integrative Counselling Therapy Sessions
Our therapy sessions together will be tailored to support empathetically your individual needs, providing a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions with me. Ideally, you come to therapy with a goal in mind, however, self-discovery using relational work could lead to a focus to work on through our sessions.
You will direct our work as my belief is you can choose what is relevant to be worked through therapy about your present and past life events.
We would work at your own pace (open-ended) or towards a focused issue (short-term) depending on the chosen work.
I invite and welcome clients from diverse and marginalised cultural communities, transexuals and sex workers to work therapeutically together.
